Question about a triggered ability.

Greetings,
Guys, what happened if I attack my opponent with Artisan of Kozilek which has annihilator 2 and my opponent respond by casting Unmake ?
Since annihilator is a triggered ability, does the annihilator ability resolves once his Unmake resolves? Does the source that cast that triggered ability must stay in game for the ability to resolve like it does with activated abilities?

Also please not that once on the stack ALL abilities are independent of their source and the source does not need to remain on the battlefield. So your last sentence in your question is incorrect.

Triggered abilities aren't cast, they simply trigger.
Once an ability is on the stack it's independent from it's source and will still resolve, even the source leaves the battlefield.
