perplexing chimera

If I have Perplexing Chimera in hand and Prophet of Kruphix on field will responding to my opponent casting a sell with flashing Perplexing Chimera give me the chance to trigger his exchange? Or does it not work because it says cast?

Perplexing Chimera 's ability triggers when an opponent casts a spell. When you cast it in response to your opponent's spell, this spell will already have been cast when Perplexing Chimera hits the field. You can not exchange control.
