Multiple doubling Season?

Lets say i have Assemble the Legion on the field and 2 or more Doubling Season would it double separately (lets say the enchantment will put 2 tokens on the field) and give me the 2 base tokens + plus 2 from each Doubling Season or would it be 222 = 8 tokens? I believe it should be the latter but would like to verify. Also does the doubling counters also affect the muster counters on Assemble the Legion? I believe it should.

The effect is exponential.

10/1/2005: If there are two Doubling Seasons on the battlefield, then the number of tokens or counters is four times the original number. If there are three on the battlefield, then the number of tokens or counters is eight times the original number, and so on.

The effect also applies to counters of any kind.
