Morph or Manifest after untap before upkeep

I was playing a game and my buddy got Sorin's ultimate off. I had a morphed Hooded Hydra and some other creatures. I didn't have mana available to flip he hooded hydra but I asked the question and nobody knew so I just sacrificed it as a 2/2 face down.
Since flipping a card face up doesn't use the stack could I flip the hooded hydra face up after untap while the upkeep trigger from sorin's ultimate is on the stack?

Note that you would be flipping during the upkeep step, but before the triggered ability resolves.
There is no chance to do anything between untap and upkeep and no one gets priority during untap step.

Yes. You can respond to the trigger by Morphing your creature. The Hooded Hydra would flip up with the 5 +1/+1 counters and you'll get the Snakes when it dies to Sorin's emblem sac effect.
