Morph

Asked by Colten_Lee 9 years ago

Okay, so say my opponent attacks with like a 4/4 vanilla. I declare a face down Zoetic Cavern as my blocker, then pay morph cost to turn face up. Am I correct in assuming that the damage won't hit me as his creature would remain blocked, and my land would be fine?

Yup. Long as you unmorph it in the declare blockers step you're good.

Once an attacking creature becomes blocked, it remains blocked for the rest of combat, regardless of what happens to its blockers. A blocked creature can't deal damage to the defending player unless it has trample or a Rhox ability.

When you morph Zoetic Cavern, it will no longer be a creature, and it will be removed from combat. It will neither deal nor receive damage.
