If I played Ixidron and then I play Lavinia of the Tenth, will all those face down creatures be detained, or do they keep their CMC cost despite being face down?

The converted mana cost of face-down creatures is 0. It would be very inconvenient any other way, as only the owner of those permanents may look at them.
You might be confusing this with the rather new rule about double-faced cards, where the CMC of the back face is equal to the CMC of the front face.
