If I have Voltaic Brawler on the battlefield, can I pay more than one energy counter to +1 him?

Voltaic Brawler has pay one energy he gets +1 till end of turn, can you pay more than one energy counter?

Makes sense now, thank you; it would Be awesome if you could pay more than one, things would get out of hand quick!

You may not. Voltaic Brawler's ability is a triggered ability, and each time it is triggered, upon resolution you may decide to pay one energy only, and if you do, he gets +1/+1 and gains tramples until end of turn. If this were an activated ability, you could do it as many times as you had energy, but triggered abilities, unless specifically stated or as in something like Well of Lost Dreams, only allow you to pay for the requirement once.
9/20/2016 Some triggered abilities state that you may pay a certain amount of Energy. You cant pay that amount multiple times to multiply the effect. You simply choose whether or not to pay that amount of Energy as the ability resolves, and no player may take actions to try to stop the abilitys effect after you make your choice.
