How exactly would the end step play out with Conjurer's Closet and Flickerwisp?

Asked by jesuslovedhumor 8 years ago

So at the beginning of my end step I use Conjurer's Closet on Flickerwisp. So Flicker goes out and comes right back and I get to remove a permanent from the game until the end of turn. But I am already at the end of my turn. Therefore does the permanent come back as soon as I tell the next person it is their turn or does it come back at the end of THAT (next) players turn?

Flickerwisp's ability creates a delayed triggered ability that triggers at the beginning of the next end step and causes the exiled card to return to the battlefield when the ability resolves.

If Flickerwisp's ability triggers during an end step, the DTA can't trigger in that same end step because the beginning of that end step has already passed. Instead, the DTA will trigger at the beginning of the next end step that the game encounters.
