how does Living Death with Soul Warden work?

Asked by Avor 9 years ago

So i was thinking about building a new deck. I want to know what happens when i have Archangel of Thune + Soul Warden in my graveyard and my opponent lets say 5 creatures in his graveyard. Then i play Living Death . How many life do i get? And how many +1/+1 counters do my creatures get?

It depends the number of creatures in all graveyards. When you play Living Death with Archangel of Thune + Soul Warden , each player exile all creatures in all from their graveyard, sacrifice all creatures on the battlefield and put all creatures exiled this way into play. You gain X life and put X +1/+1 counters on each creatures you control for each creatures exiled this way that is put into play.

Whenever multiple permanents change zones at the same time, thet see each other do so. This means that in this case, your Soul Warden and Archangel of Thune , and all 5 creatures your opponent had in his or her graveyard will enter the battlefield at the same time. Soul Warden will see a total of 6 other creatures entering the battlefield, which will create 6 instances of its triggered ability on the stack. Each time one of them resolves, the ability of Archangel of Thune will trigger. In the end, when everything resolves, you will end up with a total of +6 life and six +1/+1 counters on each creature you control.
