How does Arcbond work with other effects?

Asked by Werternut 9 years ago

In Arcbond's wording, it states that the targeted creature deals the damage(I think, anyways).

If the target creature has an effect that happens when it deals damage(I.E. Deathtouch, Vraska the Unseen's tokens/Phage the Untouchable), would it be applied?

Yes it is the creature as the source of the damage, so any ability that triggers or is a static effect from that creature dealing damage would apply - deathtouch, lifelink, etc.

However, damage and combat damage are different. Combat damage is specifically the damage being dealt in the combat damage step. So an effect like Phage the Untouchable wouldn't trigger.

Ooohhhh ok.

It would've been pretty funny if everyone died to a Spark Jolt, though.
