Fleetwheel Cruiser and Eldrazi Mimic

Can I stack the ETB trigger from Fleetwheel Cruiser ("when ~ ETBs it becomes an artifact creature...") on top of the check-ETB trigger from Eldrazi Mimic ("whenever another colorless creature ETBs ...")?

Or asked another way, does Eldrazi Mimic + Fleetwheel Cruiser = 2x 5/3s?

No, it doesn't work that way. When Fleetwheel Cruiser enters the battlefield, it's not a creature. This means Eldrazi Mimic won't trigger at all. Turning the Cruiser into a creature doesn't make the game back up and "re-trigger" the Mimic.
