Dual Casting and Molten Birth
Asked by Chae2010 7 years ago
If I have a creature echanted with Dual Casting and I cast Molten Birth, then use Dual Casting to copy it, how does Molten Birth second ability work? Do I flip a coin only once for the physical copy of the card I cast, or do I some how flip for both since I would technically cast another copy of Molten Birth?
Thanks for help, just still curious, would I then technically have 2 Molten Birth in my hand to cast even though I only have the one physical card?

Sorry, just double checked and read over the original answer. Now I see it. Thanks for the help.

So you have the original Molten Birth on the stack with a copied (and created on the stack, not cast) Molten Birth on top of it.
The copy resolves first, having its effect. You then flip a coin. If you lose, the copy goes to the graveyard and ceases to exist when SBA's are checked. If you win, it returns to your hand and ceases to exist when SBA's are checked.
Then the original resolves, has its effect, and you flip a coin again. If you lose, it goes to the graveyard, if you win it returns to your hand.
