Does Hardened Scales work with the Hydra´s?

Does Hardened Scales give a hydra like Hooded Hydra an extra +1/+1 counter or not?

since Hardened Scales say it adds an extra +1/+1 when a +1/+1 counter is placed on a creature. But the hydra says it comes onto the battlefield with the counters already on it.So I would think it won't but alot of people say it does.

Yes it does.

When creatures enter the battlefield "with counters" they enter, and then the counters are placed on them.

Hydras have similar synergy with things like Doubling Season and Corpsejack Menace
