Do basic Lands count in formats
Asked by Abusiveunclejoe 8 years ago
Does the set a basic land released in count in the set limitations for standard, modern, et al?
Note that although Snow lands (i.e. Snow-Covered Mountain) are considered basic lands, they are only legal in eternal formats.

If a particular printing of a card is legal in a format, any printing of that card (old, new, English, foreign, promotional, whatever) is legal to include in a deck for that format.

I do not think I understand the question as stated, but I will take a stab at an answer - you can use any basic land card from any set in standard modern et al. That is because every set has some slots dedicated to reprinting basic lands - otherwise, if basic lands were not printed for a couple of years, they would not be legal in standard.
