Corpsejack Menace + Kalonian Hydra: Triple or Quadruple Counters?

I swing with a 4/4 Kalonian Hydra . I also control a Corpsejack Menace , which entered play afer the Hydra which is why the hydra is only 4/4.

After the trigger resolves, how many counters are on the Kalonian Hydra ?

My guess is 12, because the double would add four, but that amount is doubled to eight from the Menace. Am I correct?

You are correct. Kalonian Hydra 's ability tallies the number of counters on Kalonian Hydra , then attempts to put that many additional counters on Kalonian Hydra . Then, Corpsejack Menace 's replacement effect doubles that. The end result is the Kalonian Hydra has three times its original number of counters.
