cascading into shuffle effects
Asked by SwiftDeath 12 years ago
if I play a casade spell and cascade into a card like See Beyond do I draw two then shuffle one card from my hand back in and then after that randomly shuffle the other cards on the bottom or do I shufflle the cards on the bottom then draw 2 and shuffle one?

You cast the card you casaded into, then finish resolving cascade by placing the exiled cards on the bottom of your library in a random order. Then when See Beyond resolves you will do its effects.

Cascade doesn't make the spell resolve immediately, it just has you cast it. That means you make all the choices (if any), pay all the costs (getting a free pass on the mana cost), and put it onto the stack. You finish resolving Cascade's effect before players get priority to make responses before the spell waiting on the stack starts to resolve.

sorry cascade says "When you cast this card exile cards off the top of your library until you exile a non-land card that costs less, you may play the exiled card without paying its mana cost, then put the exiled cards on the bottom of your library in a random order" and we will say that the cascader played was Shardless Agent .
