Can you cast a Polymorphist's Jest after attackers are declared when a Circle of Flame is on the battlefield to kill everything?

Say my opponent has a 4/4 flyer and a handful of any P/T creatures, and declares them as attacking. Could you cast a Polymorphist's Jest and destroy all of their creatures if you have a Circle of Flame out?

I assume that the flyer will still live since the Circle of Flame says "When a creature without flying attacks..." and you couldn't play Polymorphist's jest until that has occurred. I just want to be sure though.

You must play Polymorphist's Jest before declare attackers as Circle of Flame deals 1 damage when the creatures are declared as attacking but yes it would kill all of them.

@quesobueno123: That is incorrect.

Circle of Flame has a triggered ability that triggers in the declare attackers step whenever a creature is declared as an attacker against either you or a planeswalker you control. The abilities all go onto the stack as soon as the turn-based action of declaring attackers is complete, and you can respond to these abilities by casting instants or cards with flash or by activating abilities.

You're correct in assuming the flyer will live because the ability will not trigger for it.
