Can I turn a manifested artifact face up?

Say I use Mastery of the Unseen's ability, or Whisperwood elemental's ability, and the top of my library I have manifested was an artifact. Can I then turn the face down artifact face up for its converted mana cost? Or, does it stay face down as a 2/2 creature?

No. Manifest's reminder text states that you may turn the manifested card face up if it's a creature card. If it's a non-creature card, you can't turn it face up with manifest.
