Are Scrubland and Akroma's Blessing Modern legal?

Asked by Argy 8 years ago

I'm making my second Modern deck.

Tapped.out is showing both Scrubland and Akroma's Blessing as illegal.

I looked at the list of banned cards for Modern and neither of those is on it.

Is this just because some prints of those cards had different edges or backs?

Are the ones with regular edges and backs legal?

Thanks for any help.

Scrubland was printed from Alpha to Revised. It's about as illegal as you can get for Modern.

Akroma's Blessing was only printed in Onslaught.

Remember, Modern only includes cards printed in core sets and blocks from 8th Edition up. The reason the above cards aren't on the banned list is because they're not banned; they were never legal to begin with.
