Encrypting Problem

TappedOut forum

So I've been using Chrome for over a week now and all of a sudden none of my pages are encrypted anymore.

I'm not sure if this is the reason but certain pictures won't show up for me like people's profiles on Facebook and certain cards on T/O. Also the color wheel in the top left corner of T/O is for some reason the picture of my friend on Facebook and I have no idea why.

When I go to use the playtester it is all white and messed up and not really usable, yet the "draw sample hand" works.

My only guess why I'm having these problems is because my pages are not encrypted and I've googled for answers but nothing really helps. If anyone can help me fix this that'd be great.

Also, when I open hotmail everything says "undefined" and it's all messed up. If I knew how to post pictures I would take screen shots and display them.

I just tried everything on IE (except the playtester of course) and it all works fine so I know the problem is with Chrome. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times, I've run a virus scan and no viruses, I've even done a system restore and no help.

Not sure. My chrome is working fine. What your problem sounds like is some setting in chrome that accidently got tweaked, and is continuing to cause you problems. Even though you deleted chrome and re-installed it you probably didn't get all of it and the setting that is giving you trouble is preserved.

That's what I think but I have no idea what settings. x.x

I system restored it to a point where I didn't have Chrome installed just a half hour ago and it's still not working, in fact, it's gotten worse because I can't see my inbox for hotmail anymore and Facebook only shows the top blue bar, but it's all white under that.

Looks like no more Playtester for me :'( I have to use mozila again.

pretty bizarre. I've heard of problems with chrome but I don't even understand what that would look like. If you want to send me a screen shot I'd be willing to check it out. Use the contact form and I'll email ya back and you can send it there.

First thins first. Clear your cache in chrome.

Disable any plug-ins that might be running. (if you are running firefox then chrome might have some interestin issues there...)

Then test.

I know this might sound stupid but also check to make sure chrome isn't set up for access through a proxy server.

Alright so I had uninstalled it a good 2 hours or so ago and have been using Firefox. I just reinstalled Chrome and it seems to be working fine... No idea why or what caused the problem. Thanks for all the help!

The Blind Eternities

Legendary Land

At the beginning of your upkeep, put a charge counter on ~.

: Put a charge counter on ~.

Remove a charge counter from ~: Add to your mana pool.

This land would be too good. Being able to sit behind your mana each turn and EOT ramp up for upcoming turns is broken good. At least make it, that you have to tap the land and then remove X counters to add X colorless mana to your mana pool.

Also the charge-ability should be sorcery only. So you'll have to decide how to use your mana on your turn and cannot keep mana up and if your opponent does nothing you ramp up big time for the next turn.

Just imagine you play it on T1, T2 you have 1 counter, play another land and charge up EOT. Upcoming turn you have 3 counters, 1 untapped land and your landdrop for the turn. Which means you're able to play a 5-drop on T3. True, you can also achieve that by playing T1 dork and T2 dork, but then you've already spent 2 cards to achieve what this land would achieve without any investment of additional cards.

I don't know what you mean by silly but that land is broken beyond belief.

Very broken. Just veeeeeery broken. But I like the name :)

Maybe it deals you two damage for every mana?

Not quite, with the wording specified above this card would have would remove A counter for ONE colourless mana - not remove X for X colourless mana. Which would make the land itself silly, because why would you ever need to charge it when it gets 1 counter added at the start of turn and you can only remove 1 per turn anyway.

If the OP is suggesting you can add a "charge counter" to ANY other permanent at SOT or by paying 1, then it gets tricky. Many other things can add a "charge counter" or use a "charge counter" for other effects, so without it being broken easily it would need to have another name ("mana counter" or such the like).

So to be less broken it could have;

At the beginning of your upkeep you may put a Mana Counter on a permanent you control as long as there are no other Mana Counters on that permanent.

Pay & tap - put a Mana Counter on a permanent you control as long as there are no other Mana Counters on that permanent.

Remove a Mana Counter from a permanent you control; add 1 colourless mana to your mana pool.

Being able to 'store up' 2 mana per turn providing you have another permanent to put a counter on isn't so overpowered, when you consider things like Saltcrusted Steppe exist and are non-legendary too.

Or you could go further and have something more punihsing like;

Remove a Mana Counter from a permanent you control. Choose one; sacrifice that permanent or lose 2 life. Add 1 colourless mana to your mana pool.

I don't think you @GeeksterPlays understand the land. If it says "remove a charge counter from (the land): add (1) to your mana pool", why would you not be able to use that ability more than once each turn? As it is worded right now, you add 1 charge counter each upkeep to (the land, OP used "~" instead of the card's name), then you can pay (1) to add an additional charge counter to (the land). And each counter on (the land) represents (1) mana. What's so hard to understand?

I was thinking it was like the last abliity of Mirrodin's Core, but then of course you wouldn't have to tap to activate this one so then you could activate it any number of times, removing one each time. My bad!

I was trying to take the previous setup for a storage land and replace the possibility of producing colored mana with a mana-related benefit, in this case, efficiency.

If I added sorcery speed to the first triggered ability, would it still be OP or UP?

Fine as is. It does nothing the turn you drop it, and if you use it every turn after its basically a colorless tap land. Sure you can let it build, but then you're not using it. Or charge it, but still you are tying up your other mana to do so. Only problem is the Blind Eternities is not a land. Its the space between planes, so a rename is in order.
