Hey, so is there a current way to find a specific article through the author of the article? If not, may i suggest it become an option. There are cases where i find myself wanting to look at a particular section of an article and remember the author but unable to find the article. Also name of article? idk if the current search button allows for that or not...
only if its a recent article i believe. and i could have sworn the articles option was not there before this post... and even then, those are only recent articles

Ive also been unable to find older articles, mods said they were going to work on it, but its been a couple months so they might have forgot.

It exists. It's just not linked anywhere (so basically not there).
If you know the series of the article, you can just type in the url:
http://tappedout.net/mtg-articles/categories/insert-hub-here/
If you're looking for a one-time article, it's probably under features. Not sure if they're all there.

I believe if you click on the persons name you will be able to find them on their profile page.
