A deck to beat U/R Wizard Prowess?

If you were going to pilot and/or design a deck with the sole purpose of beating U/R Wizard Prowess what would it be and why? Is there a deck that fulfills this goal but is also decent against some of the other top builds?
My initial thought was that Mono-Red would be well suited, but in testing it seems to be a bit too slow game 1, oddly enough. Was I just not a playing the red deck well or is something else better suited?
The goal would be to just crush Wizard Prowess and also fare reasonably well against other archetypes in the meta. Thanks!

Mono red or red black mid-range should do it. Wizard's can be a bit explosive.sorry to hear adeliz Has got you down

I would go for a UR control deck stuffed with red removal and blue counters. Kill the early drops, let them run out of gas, then drop large haymakers like chandra or nezhal to close out the game. It also works wonders against red decks and control decks.

there are only 2 standard legal wizards that have prowess, and both are from the amonkhet block which rotate out in the fall. either way, wizard tribal in standard is pretty weak. is it really seeing play at your standard fnm's?
