I have asked my friend who is a RG tron player what finisher does he use to win the game. Suprisingly he did not say Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger but rather Colossus of Akros. Hear me out guys because he convinced me Colossus of Akros is far superior. Number one your opponents will piss there pants when they see him because they wonder wtf is this guy playing Colossus of Akros. Number 2 he is cheaper than Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger. Seriously compared to the the other Eldrazi he only costs 8 mana what a steal! Then you realize he has defender and then you are paying 18 mana and then you wish you had Emrakul. Simply he double dips your mana and we know how much we love double dippers. Number 3: He is very very sexy. Playing Colossus of Akros will surely raise some eyes. I hope you guys will start throwing your newlamogs in the trash and start he revolution of Colossus of Akros. I know I love this card so much I bought 17.

So, to attack and two turns to activate, or to exile your opponents two best permanents and swing for game within two turns.

I dunno, Imma have to go with Newlamog.

For 8 mana, I'd rather be closing the game out with an Ugin than a Colossus. Newlamog is strictly better, for a number of reasons. First, "on cast" is amazing(as mentioned above), meaning even if they counter it, you still get a one-for-three. Going off on that, Path to Exile is a thing. I'm not saying "it's bad because it dies to removal", but your opponent could wait until you invested two turns into it to attack, then simply Path it, wasting two entire turns. Newlamog can still get Pathed, but again, it's a one-for-three. Also, if you're playing Tron, mana isn't a huge issue. Colossus is very flashy and is a splash of originality if you like that kind of thing, and waaaay cheaper, but Newlamog is definitely better.

Ah, the Colossus... MFW I'm playing my old big boy version of runnin with scissors and kill someone at 13 health and 7 Elspeth Tokens. He didn't even know what to do, he just sat there confused as everyone else congratulated me for pulling off the best of wins.

He must be insane. Path to Exile is a card and casting Colossus does nothing when you play him. With Ulamog, you get a trigger.

I "guess" he could fill budget shoes, but not newlamogs shoes.
