In which we watch our good friend Rat show her Dimir colours as she watches events unfold and learns information through a lot of eavesdropping.
This story depicts the beginning of Act 2. The Elderspell has begun and the Gatewatch finally form a plan. The rest of the act is the execution of the various facets of that plan.

I could feel the tension building in this week’s story, which make it much more exciting than those from the previous two weeks. Again, the sheer number of characters and fats pace made it difficult to keep track of everything, but I am starting to gain an idea of what is occurring.
I cannot believe that some members of the guilds are refusing to take action when their entire world is being threatened; do they actually think that Bolas would spare them if he were to be victorious?
Several planeswalkers in this story were not identified; the elderly man with turquoise eyes, the aven, the woman with glowing green eyes, and the woman with the longbow. The first woman is likely Nissa, the second woman was Vivien, but who were the other two? Were they simply nameless background characters with no importance to the story?
I definitely am interested to learn about Niv-Mizzet’s “Operation Desperation,” so I shall be eagerly awaiting the next story, to see what happens next.

The Planeswalkers mentioned may be just upcoming Planeswalkers.
Also I'm not surprised that not everyone is jumping in and saving their world. Like honestly, the guilds are best described as basically being self interested parties only. Which make them much more interesting.

A clarification on what I mean by Rat's Dimir colours: I believe she is a five-colour character and in this section of the story her Dimir was showing through.
