i am looking to buy 1 of each of the esper color dual lands and saw that there were collectors edition ones for cheaper. i know that they are not tourney legal but i just want them for edh. my main question is do they look nice and will they fit a perfect fit sleeve?

Thanks!

According to the Internet, they should fit. I don't have any personally because I don't like the border and my group doesn't allow them. I suggest asking your group about them before buying them, unless you have already asked.

they definitely fit, I had a gaea's cradle in this edition once. They are just gold bordered with a sig on them. Technically they are not legal but given that EDH is casual your mates should be fine letting you use them I would say.

Make sure they are substantially cheaper though as resale of such cards is much harder than the ABUR versions that are legal in any format they can be used in

The collector edition and International edition are exact copies of the original AB prints except for their borders. The collector copies have sharp square corners and are easily hidden in sleeves. They are great for casual play. If someone from my playgroup wanted to use them I would encourage the healthy competition. This set also had the original mox sets and Black Lotus. In the later 90's wizards printed non-legal copy decks of champion builds. These had the classic border shape only gold in color, and a signature as maiden77 said. The main downfall of the champion series gold cards are the card backs. They show the tourny logo and not the classic logo. As long as the player had dark sleeves that others couldn't see through, I would say they are fine too.

Collector's Ediction: SQUARE edges, black border front side, gold border on the back with "Collector's Edition" in gold print dead center.

Is actually worth a surprising amount due to collector value (weird, that being their name and all) but nothing compared to the actual sanctioned legal ones.

World Championship Deck: Full decklists of world championship winning decks. Rounded edges, gold border FRONT, back side is completely different from the normal magic card backside, black with a "World Championship" logo and text on them.

These are very low in price in comparison to the collector's edition.

Just want to point out the differences. WCD dual lands don't exist though so, so if you buy a dual it will be collectors edition.

In my playgroup we use them as proxies if we have one non proxy in one of our EDH decks, we can then use these proxies on our other decks instead of having to own multiples!
