Looking for Binder Solution

I have been collecting Angels since I started playing back in Nemesis. I have put together a decent collection and my old binder just isn't doing it justice.

I was first looking at the playset binders but the catch there is most of them only hold 460 cards. Thats 115 playsets... just so happens as my writing this there are 115 Angel creatures in the game. So basically I have already outgrown that.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for binders? Any other collectors run into this problem? Should I stick with the 9 sleeve pages and just suck it up when I have to re-alphabetize every set?

Just looking for some thoughts and honest opinions thanks!

You could do a three ring 3" binder with card sleeves and dedicate a page to each angel. Then you just have to move individual pages rather than cards on each page.

That would work, but it would also require 9 of each angel to look the way I want. (I'm no moneybags)

My current set up is a playset across the top with one starting the second row, then an angel token, then the first of the next playset continuing down to the last row.

I like the way it looks but upkeep is a huge pain in the arse.

You could also consider rearranging the sorting to be by set/age rather than strictly alphabetical. That would alleviate the problem as you can add new angels to the end of the book as they progressively release.

You know what... I think thats it... It was instinctive to do them alphabetically but not only would doing them chronologically alleviate the need to constantly rearrange but It would look nicer with all the borders matching on most pages.

Thanks! Its seems like a logical solution yet I never thought about it :)

Now to find a nice binder that will grow with the collection... any ideas on those?

Glad to help!

I'd once again look at the initial recommendation. A 3 ring binder will allow you to add pages as more angels are released and if it gets worn out, it shouldn't be much trouble to find a new one to transplant the pages into.

I agree with weisemanjohn that organizing by set/age could make it easier, but it would also make it less visually appealing. I bet seeing all the printings of Serra Angel together must be pretty amazing.

I highly recommend the Four binder, despite it only holding 480 cards. What about buying two of them? You're inevitably going to need 2 binders, unless you go up to a 5" or something.

Do they make 3x4 -pocket sleeves?

There are binders that have the 3x4 sleeves built in but I have never seen pages like that for sale individually.

If that was a thing I would buy it in a heart beat.

I could buy two binders but for me showing someone my collection in one really nice book is just so much nicer. You are right though at some point I will probably be into two binders. Quicker if I am doing each version of each angel (reprints, promos etc.)

Maybe I'll just get those 3in Black binders with the gold Magic logo... they are easy enough to label once I finally go to multiple Binders
