A Mono-Green () Toxic deck originally constructed during the Phyrexia: All Will Be One set.

This is my go-to Arena build, and I use it for Standard match up.

Telling a Story

This deck is chronicled by the Updates tab; I decided when it was initially created that TappedOut had a good system to record where deck construction has come from, and where it's gone.

For each major update correlated to the Standard format, I'll be making a new Update Tab to show the new deck modifications.

Updates Add

For starters, it seems like so long since I've actually played on Arena that I had to reintroduce myself to what was happening within the meta, and it seems my deck is just a novelty at this point, mainly a bane to the burn and control heavy matchups that are unable to provide enough spot removal. Nevertheless, another update is being done because I came into some really powerful toys in the green shard. We're gonna detail the trade-ups next;

  • Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant is being slotted out in favor of balancing between the instants to creatures numbers. I think I managed to make it an even split, which lines up well for this Timmy-driven iteration. We're going to say that this slot was where we got to introduce our two spots of Snakeskin Veil which are surprisingly super-effective for the curve and usage.

  • Pugnacious Hammerskull while super cool and awesome, and we could definitely consider the idea of rebuilding around the dinosaurs, is not prudent, and would not keep to the standard rotation that this deck is trying to uphold. We're saying this slot allowed us to introduce Beastbond Outcaster.

  • Tyrranax Attrocity came out of the deck in favor of Smuggler's Surprise which is a super tight card that does all of what we want and then some. We're replacing the huge end of our mana curve with lower end target-focused spells. The modal abilities make them hard to ignore.

  • Ixalli's Lorekeeper got removed in favor of Trash the Town, which will return some draw power to our construction.

  • Outcaster Trailblazer is a beautiful card that will provide some sort of value to our curve, mainly in a "green deck wins" kind of energy. Taking advantage of plot means we net extra resources and that'll be extra useful in terms of keeping the deck moving in a forward momentum, rather than just maintaining.

  • To quote my friend NoobNoob275, when we first saw this card, they said "Holy Fucking Goldvein Hydra." This card just slaps, period.

  • This list updating would not be complete if I didn't include some commentary and mention that Railway Brawler is simply too nasty not to include into the list. Just such a nasty ass card.
