My dog is named Tuna. He is amazing.

I play EDH primarily, with a touch of jank Legacy because most of my playgroup does that. I've recently started playing some Pauper; I always thought it was a weird format, which it is, but it provides an interesting deckbuilding challenge.

This deck isn't actually my idea. The point (at least, of my deck) is to cast a bunch of really aggressive card draw/cycling to get a Conscription in the yard (fairly easy given Goblin Lore, Burning Inquiry, and Cathartic Reunion all draw 3+ cards and the cycling on Street Wraith is practically free). After that you cast a Hollow One for probably free and a Storm Herald for 3 (this is not a great cost, I may add some Simian Spirit Guides to make it a little easier), bringing the Conscription back into play attached to the Hollow One or even Flameblade Adept if it's gotten big enough. Because of this it isn't actually that difficult to get an ideal hand; the only things necessary are a card draw piece and some type of way to hold off your opponent like a Bolt.

I might add some discard pieces and go into black a little, just because cards like Thoughtseize are so powerful, but I want to keep the deck budget and a big part of that is keeping the land base mono color.

I'm not sure how much it's currently going for, but you might consider Double Vision? It would be problematic if you exile multiple instants/sorceries with a Narset trigger, but it's another version of cards like Swarm Intelligence so it might be nice. Also, you have a TON of instants, and Double Vision can copy spells off your turn, so you can still get some great value out of it.

Also, you notably only have seven Petitioners. I would want at least 20 if I were building the deck, if not 30.

I see you have a Brain Freeze, but I don't really see any other storm pieces. Is it just in case you get a chain going? I suppose isn't a bad price for, say mill 18 or so ...

Also, Bruvac can only double the milling done by opponents, so unless you can go infinite, Jace, Wielder of Mysteries seems kinda ... inefficient.

One more thing: Cyclonic Rift? Evacuation?

You could just take out one land and a mana dork and that would be that. Also, I would remove Cultivate for Rampant Growth just to get a little faster? Maybe not all of them, you still want the curve to be good, but maybe ... one or two of them could be removed.

Sorry for so many comments, but Fall of the Hammer won't actually get copied by Zada because she wants the spells to have only the one target.

Another card you might add (again, depending on the speed) is Twinning Staff.

Unfortunately, mechanics like heroic don't actually trigger from Zada's ability because you only copy the spell, not cast it. This means Akroan Crusader won't be able to trigger. The same thing goes for Mirrorwing Dragon, unless you just want it to serve as a second copy of Zada ... Also, depending on the speed at which you want the deck to operate, you might consider adding a little more ramp like Mind Stone or Arcane Signet (though the second might be outside your budget range).

I'm interested in making this deck a little more budget so I can actually buy it in paper; the cards I want to take out so far are Vedalken Orrery, Windswept Heath, Wooded Bastion, Ranger-Captain of Eos, Birthing Pod, and some, if not all, of the tutors. Any ideas for cards to remove/add?

Uuuh, what is the goal with this deck? Constantly chaining together equal CMC cards over and over won't really tutor anything, and a graveyard strategy would seem pretty hard in PDH. Speaking of which, you have several illegal cards in this list: Aura of Dominion, Pemmin's Aura, Baleful Strix, Nightveil Predator, Nightveil Specter, Siren of the Silent Song, Lightning Greaves, and Swiftfoot Boots.

Try adding Sage of Hours and Strength of the Tajuru to win with Laboratory Maniac ... by taking all the turns.

Hey man, I've been trying to get a background on my decks and I haven't found anything and I'm kinna desperate. I saw your Traxos deck had a background and had to ask how to do that.

So, HOW'S IT DONE? SHOW ME YOUR SECRETS.

The rule might have been changed since I last checked, but I am fairly certain that if you pick a colorless commander, you can add one color of your choice to the deck (like a Karn, Silver Golem deck having red in it). This could add some beneficial stuff if you went into red or blue, but not much; I have a Slobad deck that has so little red cards in it I am seriously considering shifting it over to Traxos.

Also, is this a combo deck? The current problem with my Slobad deck (Slobad, Soon To Become a Different Deck) is that the combos in it got too boring and I stopped playing it. Since then I have been researching ways to make a more attrition-y version of an artifact deck. Any ideas?

Seems a tad unnecessary ...
