Deckling -
Started playing magic at a friends place on his PlayStation, once I got the hang of mechanics and basic deck building, I got a spontaneous invite to attend a M2015 pre-release event. I was not an immediate champion but the experience was exciting and I was eager to continue with more similar events. At this point I purchased by first pack from Theros collection and in the pack I got my first Legendary creature Daxos of Meletis
and this is when my friends introduced me to Commander/EDH format: at this point I was completely hooked and have since only participated in pre-release and EDH events for playing magic on anything above the casual level.
My friends play on a pretty decent tier so I learned many valuable lessons from them. I also have a knack for pursuing silly mechanics like ETB, Token, Counter and other odd ends. Through trial and error and seeing my new babies (decks) get reamed mercilessly by my pals, I learned how to better stabilize my decks to make them robust on a more competitive level.
All the decks I post here on TappedOut are composed of both random and specific cards I physically have on hand collected over the years. Since I play strictly EDH, my collection is mostly one-of-a-kind and therefore will sometimes limit the composition of a physical deck as some cards will already be in use: this can sometimes count as a plus because it forces me to think outside of conventional methods on how to approach really manipulate, break or exploit a single mechanic.
