I’ve talked with a few coworkers who also play Magic and they gave me some very valuable insight, including adding more mana fixing cards, revel in riches, and a few board wipes (a few board wipes PER PLAYER is apparently very recommended for the group I will be playing in).

I also got a few key expensive cards in Japanese for much cheaper than their English versions including Battle angles of Tyr, Cathars’ Crusade, Authority of the Consuls, Ruinous Ultimatum, and Revel in Riches which were all acquired for $20! Saving a decent amount of money and boosting the deck big time I think
