I have played M:TG since my brother turned me onto it right about the time Mercadian Masques came out. I later bought my first deck for $15 from a friend that I barely even remember now. I just know it had a Catastrophe and a Scaled Wurm and was some white bordered premade deck. It wasn't very good, but it did get me hooked.

I played pretty regularly through the Odyssey block, but then only sporadically until Theros came out and my friends got me hooked again. I have the stereotypical "bad trade" stories with my old cards, trading away things that have become staples in formats that didn't even exist at the time for what would become junk rares.

My favorite card is City of Brass because I had at one point decided I was going to collect a whole set of Arabian Nights. It never came to be. Perhaps one day...
