Young Pyromancer Casting Spell Question

Hi I have a question about Young Pyromancer

I have a Young Pyromancer on the battlefield, and I cast a Magma Jet . In response to my Magma Jet he cast an Abrupt Decay to kill my Young Pyromancer . Do I still get an elemental token because it says when I cast a spell or do I lose the Young Pyromancer and not get a token because he killed it with an Abrupt Decay ? Then my Magma Jet resolves.

You will still get the token. Young Pyromancer 's trigger resolves independently of its source and will resolve even if Young Pyromancer has been destroyed by Abrupt Decay
