Will Jacob Hauken, Inspector still be able to activate his ability if I have no cards in hand?

I have an Eruth, Tormented Prophet deck in the making, and I want to include Jacob Hauken, Inspector  ^Flip in the deck if possible. Like the title states, I want to know if Jacob's activated ability will still work correctly if I have no cards in hand due to the replacement effect that Eruth has. I assume that since exiling a card from hand isn't part of the cost of activation that it would work still, but I am not %100 certain.

You are correct. Exiling the card from hand is part of the effect of Jacob Hauken, Inspector  ^Flip. You will still be able to activate it, and the ability will try to do as much as possible upon resolution. You will draw a card (which will be replaced with exiling two cards) and then when you attempt to exile a card from hand, you will have no cards and will just not do that part of the effect.
