Why would I want to keep an opponent’s creature tapped
Asked by Buddyboy 5 years ago
Pretty new to mtg and have a pretty basic question. Using a card like Frost Lynx keeps an opponent’s creature from untapping in the next untap step, so my question is, why? What benefit does this give you?
Thanks!

If the creature taps and cannot untap it: a.) cannot attack you, b.) cannot block your creatures and c.) cannot use any tap abilities. It basically makes an opening for your attacks, or gives you a break from theirs!
