When does Debt to the Deathless apply its heal?

Both players are at 1hp.On my opponents turn, they cast Debt to the Deathless where X is 1.I respond/interrupt with Divine Deflection where X is 1.Does it force a draw before the heal?
I understand that Divine Deflection deals its damage at the same time it prevents damage. Meaning both players take 1 damage simultaneously and this would normally lead to a draw, I'm just not sure when the heal from Debt' kicks in, which could save my opponent.
In answer to the underlying question about Debt to the Deathless , when the spell resolves, the damage and lifegain happen simultaneously as part of the resolution of the spell.
If it said that it dealt damage, so Divine Deflection COULD do something, they would cast Debt for 1, you respond with Divine Deflection for 2 (You did say you only did Deflection for 1 but I'm assuming you just misread that Debt causes 2X life loss). Your spell resolves, setting up the damage prevention effect. Debt resolves, dealing you two damage and gaining them 2 life. The two damage you were dealt is prevented and dealt to your opponent. You are still at 1, they are at 1 as well and play continues.
But again, to be clear, Divine Deflection does not interact with Debt to the Deathless at all because Damage (while it causes loss of life) is not loss of life.

Debt to the Deathless causes loss of life. Divine Deflection prevents damage.
Divine Deflection does nothing in this situation.
