What does it mean by allies

Asked by luke141 12 years ago

I was playtesting when one of the cards said allies. Is that creatures you control or planeswalkers or is it other players on your side

No, Ally is a 5-color creature tribe from Zendicar. See Kazandu Blademaster.

They're much like slivers in that they are almost in their own tier in casual games, and also walk into wrath likes it's nobody's business.

Unlike slivers, though, they gain benefits from allies entering the field, no simply being on it.

Here's a 4-color ally deck I made, if you want a reference.

A more clearly stated response:

"Ally" is a creature type. When a card refers to allies, it refers to creatures with the creature type "Ally"

You can see them all here: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?action=advanced&subtype=+["Ally"]
