if i cast Unexpected Results and it reveals a Nimbus Swimmer what happens?? does it come in with x 1/1 counters that i declare or does it die because it would be a 0/0????

If you cast Nimbus Swimmer with Unexpected Results , it will be a 0/0 and will die as a state-based action.

If a card has X in its mana cost, you can only declare X when you cast that card by paying its mana cost. If you don't cast the card as a spell, or if you cast it by paying an alternate cost, then X defaults to 0. "Without paying its mana cost" is treated as an alternate cost, so you can't declare a value for X.
