Ugin's Nexus imprinted on a Prototype Portal?

Asked by SorcerersBone 10 years ago

If I made one nexus in the previous turn, and I make another nexus this turn, do I get another turn after this?

The way I see it, when the new one comes in, the old one is put into the graveyard as a state-based action, and then you can exile it giving you another turn. In that turn, you just make another take another infinitely.

As written, this doesn't work, because Ugin's Nexus prevents players from taking extra turns. If you had a way to sacrifice the Nexus you make each turn, then this would work perfectly.

As long as one copy of Ugin's Nexus is in play, players cannot begin extra turns. If you somehow managed to get both into the graveyard, you would get two extra turns. Note that the graveyard trigger of Ugin's Nexus will still provide you with an extra turn, but it will just be skipped if another is in play.
