Triggered abilities and Living Death

Asked by atomic_moose 8 years ago

When all creatures enter the battlefield at the same time, how do triggered abilities work? Which ones gain priority?

Example: Dormant Sliver and many other slivers are in graveyard, then Living Death resolves. Draw one card for Dormant Sliver's ability or one for each sliver that just entered?

Dormant Sliver's ability is a static ability that grants a triggered ability. When Dormant Sliver enters the battlefield, that static ability is immediately granted to any other Slivers on the battlefield, then the draw trigger is put on the stack.

Each Sliver that enters the battlefield via Living Death will enter at the same time and will see each other enter simultaneously. Therefore, they will all enter, gain Dormant Sliver's static ability, and they will all trigger for a draw.

Note that priority is a term used to refer to a player's right to cast spells and activated abilities; it doesn't refer to individual abilities or spells.
