Tormod's Crypt+Nezumi Graverobber?

Asked by boneknitter 8 years ago

If I have Nezumi Graverobber and Tormod's Crypt in play, if I sacrifice the Crypt to exile all cards in a graveyard, can I then flip Graverobber? Or does the Graverobber have to be the source that exiles the last card in a graveyard in order to flip him?

The Graverobber checks for if there are no cards in the graveyard only as its ability resolves. If you exile the cards after that point, it won't matter. He won't flip unless his ability exiles the last card.

Also if you activate Graverobber's ability, then activate Crypt in response, Graverobber's ability will have no legal targets when it goes to resolve and be countered by game rules (and won't flip).
