the interaction between Delay and Silence
Asked by koylucumert 8 years ago
i am trying to create a new type of control deck and i come up with this problem. when my opponent cast a spell and i counter it with Delay, that spell gets suspend and becomes exiled. then after three turns at the beginning of my opponents upkeep, if i cast Silencein response to my opponents suspend trigger (before the last time counter becomes removed), would my opponent still get to resolve their spell?

Also note that the spell will sit in exile indefinitely if it isn't cast via suspend's last trigger.

Silence would stop them from casting it if, as you said, you cast silence in response to the trigger (not in response to the spell itself)
