Tamiyo, the Moon Sage and Rest in Peace

If Tamiyo, the Moon Sage and Rest in Peace are both on the battlefield and a player has the emblem from Tamiyo's ultimate, can that player chose to return cards to their hand prior to the exile from Rest in Peace ? I'm 95.1% sure the answer is yes, but I want to be sure. Thanks.

Oh after reading I see "when" on Tamiyo versus "would" on RiP, confidence in a yes dropping to 54.8%.

No. Rest in Peace is a replacement effect that prevents cards from entering the graveyard, and Tamiyo, the Moon Sage 's Emblem has a triggered ability on a card entering the graveyard. A card will never enter the graveyard, and never trigger the Emblem.
