Taking Control of Creatures with Ordeals or Aqueous Form

Asked by Bauhom 11 years ago

What happens if someone takes control of an opponent's creature when the creature has Aqueous Form on it? If it attacks, who scries 1? The player who took control of the creature or the owner of the enchantment?

Similarly, what if someone takes control of a creature with Ordeal of Nylea on it, and the creature gets its third +1/+1 counter while under control of the opponent? Who gets search for the two basic land cards?

I think it would be the owner of the enchantment(s) who get the benefits, since taking control of the creature does not transfer control of the enchantments.

Yes, it is the owner of the enchantment that scries or does the things from the ordeals.

Just because one "steals" a creature from an opponent does NOT mean they have control over the auras, equipment, etc attached to it.

If there is a mana ability (such as equip x) or like Agoraphobia then you can still activate them as you control the aura/equipment

harrydemon117: Please avoid misusing terms like "mana ability", it causes confusing for new players.
