The card itself says it last until end of turn. Generally in MTG if a "buff" or "debuff" would affect a permanent beyond the current turn, some type of counters are used (for creatures, for example, a +1/+1 counter would be used).
Additionally,
Tainted Strike
gives the creature +1/+0, not +1/+1.
