Sun Droplet, activated ability? Suppression Field

If i take a counter off Sun Droplet is it an activated ability? need to know as it's in i want to play it with Suppression Field out, if it is then i'll have to try something else.

It is a triggered ability, not an activated ability. Activated abilities are worded "Cost: Effect". Triggered abilities start with "When", "Whenever", or "At". Sun Droplet 's second ability starts with "At the beginning of your upkeep", so it's a triggered ability. Suppression Field won't affect it.

PooPlayer Just so you know in the future, activated abilities follow the "Cost : Effect" formula. If you don't see that,then its not an activated ability.
