Soulbond and whispersilk cloak

Asked by kram130 12 years ago

If i have two creatures in play that are soulbonded and i then attach a Whispersilk Cloak to one of them do they lose their bond?

No, they don't lose it. Shroud means that those creatures can't be targeted by spells or abilities. Soulbound doesn't instruct you to target the creatures you want to pair, thus is unaffected by shroud.

No they do not.

The most recent reminder text for soulbond reads "You may pair this creature with another unpaired creature when either enters the battlefield. They remain paired for as long as you control both of them." Nowhere in this does is use the word target which means that you could actually soulbond to a creature you control that is already equipped with Whispersilk Cloak. Shroud and Soulbond don;t really have any interaction.
