Shrouded Lore + K'rrik

Can I use K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth's ability to pay for Shrouded Lore's "you may pay B" part of the card?

Yes, you can pay 2 life instead of mana. The option that Shrouded Lore gives you represents a cost. K'rrik can replace any in a cost with a payment of 2 life.

This took me a while to find because I've never read into what certifies as a "cost" in a technical sense. So, if you're curious, the rule that defines a cost in Magic is below.

118.1. A cost is an action or payment necessary to take another action or to stop another action from taking place. To pay a cost, a player carries out the instructions specified by the spell, ability, or effect that contains that cost.
