Reflecting pool and vivid lands

So if I have a Reflecting Pool and a Vivid Marsh (for example), would my pool be able to produce a mana of any kind or only black mana? And does it matter if there are counters on the marsh?

Reflecting Pool only cares what kinds of mana the lands you control could produce, not whether they can actually produce it in their current states. If you control a Vivid Marsh (regardless of whether or not it has counters on it), Reflecting Pool will tap for any color.

5/1/2008: Reflecting Pool checks the effects of all mana-producing abilities of lands you control, but it doesn't check their costs. For example, Vivid Crag says "T, Remove a charge counter from Vivid Crag: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool." If you control Vivid Crag and Reflecting Pool, you can tap Reflecting Pool for any color of mana. It doesn't matter whether Vivid Crag has a charge counter on it, and it doesn't matter whether it's untapped.
