Redirecting fight cards

Asked by Unlife 9 years ago

Fight cards like Swift Kick say that you target a crrature you control and a cretaure you don't control. Can you change a target of the card with something like Redirect or am I missing something obvious that prevents you from doing so? Thanks

Redirect would allow you to change both targets. However the targets must still be legal targets and the control of the spell doesn't change. So in a 2 player game you can not make two of their creatures fight each other. You could change it so that their big guy fights a deathtouch token or some such other shenanigans.

You can certainly change the targets with Redirect. Note, however, that you'll still be restricted to choosing a target creature you do control and a target creature you don't control.

Also their creature would still be the one getting +1/+0 that is where i was going with stating that control of the spell doesn't change even though it allows you to repick targets.

Ah, that's what I missed. Thanks
