Redirect a Angel of Glory's Rise
Asked by cklinfiendx13 12 years ago
Would I be able to use a Redirect on a card:Angel of Glory's Rise and choose a different creature type to exile?

GreatSword is right. card:Angel of Glory's Rise doesn't have any targets as a spell, its triggered ability doesn't target anything anyway (it doesn't use the word "target"), and changing the targets of a spell or ability doesn't change any of the words in its rules text.
If you want to change a creature type word in the rules text of a card, Artificial Evolution is currently the only card in the game that can do it, but you also have the option of using effects that can turn a creature into another type to turn the creatures you want to exile into Zombies.

Possibly because a lot of new players got into M13 and pulled them? And some of them may be on this site?

No, for several reasons.
card:Angel of Glory's Rise is a creature spell, with an Enter-the-Battlefield ability. The ability is not a spell, and so cannot be a legal target for Redirect . Something like Searing Spear or Sign in Blood could, because those are spells with targets.
Secondly, card:Angel of Glory's Rise's effect does not actually target anything, so nothing can be changed.
Third, unless specifically stated in an effect, you can't change any of the words on a card. You must do exactly as they say.
